DAWN BEYER

Dawn was born in New York and raised in Texas, Dawn sings with the attitude of both. At the age of 9 after an encounter with a blue grass band in Texas the match was lit, Dawn’s Hidden gift was born and the flame turned into a fire. 

After Praying for a guitar, Dawn’s Dad  traded his 1956 Chevy Truck to pay for her first guitar, which she learned to play by ear and by watching others play. It all just came natural and so did her writing ability. 

Dawn wrote her first song at 10 years old, by the time she was 15 she had become an East Texas Sensation playing and singing at any venue that came her way including opening for George Jones, Willie Nelson and Charlie Daniels.  

At the age of 16 Dawn moved to Franklin TN  where she soon discovered that what “making it” meant to everyone else  just didn’t feel right for her. She didn’t crave the spotlight, she craved connection through music and being heard. She didn’t dream of big arenas and crowds screaming her name, she imagined what It would be like to only ever have to play her own original songs for people who really cared to listen. She didn’t want a number one song on the radio, but she did dream of not having to play in  crowded bars and compete with whatever sports game was on at the time. 

Dawn struggled with not resonating with the dream being sold in music city. She wanted something more, she just didn’t know what that would be yet because the road had not been paved. She found herself in her late 20’s singing for tips on broadway in Nashville, TN and losing her voice every night playing double shifts.  She came home to her little shack one day and went to FB to check in with friends and family. That’s when she discovered a new feature, a feature button that said “GO LIVE”.  She put her phone up on a stack of books, grabbed her guitar, and clicked the button. That moment changed the path of her career and really, it gave her a career she could not have imagined. A life of traveling with her notebook of songs playing for small groups of hearts that are there because they connected with one of her songs. She has had more than  22 million views on her videos and continues to share her voice and story on social media platforms. On year 2, she was invited to the FB HQ to do a fb live at fb. She is the only artist that has gotten to GO LIVE on fb from facebook headquarters. Now on year 7, she is living in a little town in Montana where she purchased her first home and has her own recording studio. You can catch her on FB LIVE weekly and can hear more of her music by signing up for her fan club. A Newspaper once quoted this after seeing her perform 

“ Raspy is not her only voice, her on stage arsenal includes a rich full sound she can thread skyward like a silky ribbon, sometimes she just floats it up and leaves you expecting more”.
